The Good Person
Student Capstone Project: An Online Adaptation from The Good Person of Szechwan by Bertolt Brecht
Faculty mentor: Stefka Mihaylova
Director: Christie Zhao
The Good Person is a work of epic theatre that depicts the capitalist society of 1940s Germany. This show explores what it means to be a good person under capitalism, a society which frequently throws aside the importance of “goodness.” This production of The Good Person has been adapted to broadly take place in the modern world. As a completely virtual production, various digital technologies are implemented, and it is very intentional even within the narrative of this show.
